Sound Familiar?

These problems waste hours every semester and frustrate your students.

"Where's the Link for Chapter 4?"

LMS announcement from Week 2. Canvas module from Week 5. Email from Week 8. Students can't find last month's resources. You re-send the same links 47 times.

Syllabus Links Break Mid-Semester

You find a better tutorial video. Update the syllabus PDF? Re-upload to Canvas? Send announcement? Students still use the old broken link from Week 1.

No Idea What Students Find Useful

You share 15 supplemental resources. Which ones did students actually use? Which tutorial helped them understand the concept? Zero feedback. Just guessing for next semester.

Can't Share Resources Across Sections

Teaching 3 sections of the same course? Copy-pasting links into 3 different LMS courses. Another instructor wants your reading list? Email them 30 links individually.

Student-Driven Resource Curation

Let Students Vote on What Actually Helps Them Learn

Create organized course collections, readings by unit, tutorials by topic, study resources by exam. Students vote on which resources helped them understand the material. See what works instead of guessing. Keep the best resources for next semester. Remove what students ignore.

Everything You Need for Organized Course Resources

Simple tools that save you hours and help students learn better.

Smart Organization

Organize resources by unit, topic, week, or learning objective. Students find what they need without scrolling through Canvas announcements from Week 1.

Student Voting

Students vote on which tutorials, articles, and resources helped them understand the material. See what's working. Improve for next semester.

Update Once, Works Forever

Found a better video tutorial? Update the link. Students who bookmarked your collection automatically get the new resource. No re-uploading to Canvas.

Share Across Sections

Teaching multiple sections? Use the same collection. Other instructors want your reading list? Share with one link. Collaborate with your department.

Follow Collections

Students follow your course collection and get notified when you add new resources. No more "I didn't see the email" excuses.

Clean, Distraction-Free

No ads. No tracking. No login required for students to view. Just organized resources that help them learn. Export to PDF or share the link.

Common Questions from Educators

Is this really free for educators?

Yes. Free forever. Unlimited collections. Unlimited resources. Unlimited students. No credit card required. We believe educators shouldn't pay for tools that help students learn.

Do students need to create accounts?

No. Students view collections without logging in. If they want to vote on helpful resources or follow for notifications, they can create a free account, but it's optional.

How is this different from my LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle)?

Shelfy is not a replacement for your LMS, it's a complement. Use it for curated resource lists that students bookmark and return to all semester. Your LMS handles assignments, grades, and course structure. Shelfy handles organized, votable, updateable resource collections.

Can I collaborate with other instructors?

Yes. Share collection editing access with teaching assistants or co-instructors. Or make your collection public and let any educator duplicate it for their own course (like open educational resources).

What if I teach the same course next semester?

Keep using the same collection. Students from Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 both access the same link. Update resources once, helps students across semesters. Or duplicate the collection if you want separate versions.

Is student voting anonymous?

Yes. You see the total vote count and which resources students found helpful. You don't see who voted. Privacy-first design encourages honest feedback.

Can I export my resource list?

Yes. Export to PDF, CSV, or JSON. You own your data. If you want to move to another platform someday, you can take your carefully curated resource lists with you.
